Muthu Seeks to Increase Presence in Cuban Market |

Havana.- The Indian hotel group Muthu is betting on expanding its presence in the Cuban tourist market, where it will run its fourth establishment in the Caribbean island by late 2019.
The group will inaugurate the Rainbow Muthu Cayo Guillermo Hotel, on the northern keys off Ciego de Avila, where the Gran Muthu Cayo Guillermo and the Gran Muthu Imperial hotels operate.
The other project is the Muthu Playa Varadero Hotel, located in Cuba's major coastal resort.
This property, previously called Playa de Oro, went to MGM Muthu Hotels after a heavy investment, in conjunction with the Cuban hotel consortium Gran Caribe.
MGM Muthu Hotels was founded by M.G. Muthu in 1963, and since 2012 it has expanded in Europe, in such destinations as France, England, Scotland, Portugal and Spain.
