Havana.- Cuban assistance centers are carrying out actions to use the software Galen Clinicas, with a view to improving medical services.
Some 90 institutions are already using the aforementioned tool, which facilitates the management of medical assistance, from the admission of patients to the creation of their digital medical record.
The Cuban software covers all areas, including modules dedicated to medical records and diagnostic means, both imaging and laboratory tests.
Until 2020, it is expected to gradually develop the processes in the primary, secondary and specialized healthcare levels.
The process of computerization in the healthcare sector has also allowed connecting 2,037 institutions to Infomed, Cuba's medical network.
