Production in Cuban Distillery Reactivated |

Havana.- The Alficsa Plus distillery, in the central province of Cienfuegos, completed the start-up phase after an investment of nearly six million pesos.
The plant was remodeled after being closed for six years, and is equipped with state-of-the-art Spanish technology to provide premium quality alcohol to the market.
Executives from the Cuban-Spanish joint venture pointed out that the improvement of steam generation was completed with the installation of a 20-ton boiler.
Improvements were also made in a reverse osmosis water treatment plant with a capacity for 1,000 cubic meters, whose purpose is to guarantee the quality of water throughout the process.
In the distillation area, the new cooling tower was installed and devices were replaced in the rectifier column, a benefit that results in more production and a higher quality of alcohol.
