Cuban Wrestlers for Medals in Lima-2019 |

Havana.- Wrestling in its different variants, with good results in Cuba, might bring several medals for the Caribbean island in the Pan-American Games in Lima, Peru, in 2019.
According to experts, there is a possibility of reaching the historic accumulation of 100 gold medals in Pan-American games.
In this regard, Mijain Lopez, three times Olympic champion and five times world monarch in the Greco-Roman modality, is a major asset in the Cuban delegation, along with another Greco-Roman wrestler, Ismael Borrero, gold medalist in the world championships in Las Vegas-2015 and in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
Cuba will compete with six male wrestlers in freestyle and six in the Greco-Roman modality, with the goal of winning one medal of any color by each of them.
In the history of these contests, Cuban wrestlers have won 93 gold, 63 silver and 49 bronze medals, for a total of 205.
