Cuban Athletes Excel in Regional Competition |

Havana.- Cuba won three medals in the North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletics Championships held in Mexico.
At the event, dedicated to the sub-23 and sub-18 categories, the Cuban triple jumper Davisleidys Velazco set a record of 13.94 meters.
In the sub-23 category, Liz Arleen Collia won the silver medal in the hammer with 60.94 meters, only surpassed Allyssa Wilson, from the United States, who won the gold medal with a 63.95-meter throw.
In addition, the 2018 Olympic youth champion in Buenos Aires, Melany Matheus, won the bronze medal in the discus, with a throw of 55.40 meters.
The United States was the winner by countries with 27 gold, 23 silver and six bronze medals, followed by Mexico (19-15-29) and Jamaica (17-18-13).
