Peru Expects More Tourists due to Regional Sports Event
Monday, July 8, 2019

Lima.- The Pan-American Games in Lima in 2019 represent an increase of about 100,000 holidaymakers for Peru.

According to authorities, the Peruvian economy will report a positive impact thanks to an increase in expenditures by visitors and the athletes who will compete in the games.

In that regard, the Pan American Games must generate financial transactions for nearly 250 million dollars, especially in the service sector, hotels, restaurants and recreation.

Coupled with this, the hotel chains present in the country invested in new infrastructures to meet the demand for accommodation.

During the event, 6,665 athletes from 41 countries are expected in the country, followed by the Parapan Am Games that will bring together 1,890 special athletes.
