Equine Therapy for Children in Cuba |

Havana.- The eastern province of Santiago de Cuba holds the Renacer Equine Therapy Center to improve children's health.
Sponsored by Flora and Fauna, together with the Ministry of Public Health and the Ministry of Education, the center receives groups of children and adolescents who are accompanied by their parents or their teachers.
The institution facilitates rehabilitation, in addition to providing an environment conducive to developing affective skills, which improve the children's understanding and interpersonal relationships.
In general, children and young people with autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, delayed psychomotor development, mental and cerebral palsy, among other pathologies, receive treatment at the center.
For this purpose, a team consisting of a psychologist, a speech therapist, therapeutic teachers and rehabilitation technicians, among other specialists, are in charge of treating the children.
