Havana.- The national Infomed medical network, which is available to medical professionals in Cuba, has several specialized websites.
They have as an essential objective to meet the information needs and to enhance scientific cooperation among professionals and technicians in the healthcare sector.
In that context, the ITS-HIV/AIDS thematic website, launched in 2004, dedicated to sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), stands out.
The National Center for the Prevention of STIs-HIV/AIDS, which is now part of the Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Unit, is responsible for the website's contents and projection.
It was designed on the basis of a project to meet the need for a virtual space to consult and share specialized information on STIs and HIV/AIDS.
