Advanced Technology in Cuban Agriculture
Monday, July 8, 2019

Havana.- The eastern Cuban province of Camagüey will benefit from the services of a modern automated poultry farm, which is equipped with cutting-edge German technology.

The facility must start up operations in the coming weeks and will supply some 13 million eggs a year at full capacity.

The center will require 56,000 hens, with an average of seven hens per cage, taking Cuba's climate into account.

In the farm, the feeding of the hens, the collection of eggs and the extraction of the excreta will be carried out through channels, while the lighting, air and cooling panels will be controlled by sensors.

The territory also has ports, feed production centers and hen replacement units, among other facilities.
