Spain Reports Increase in Tourist Arrivals |

Madrid.- Spain's tourist destinations received 21.4 million international visitors in the first four months of 2019.
According to official statistics, this trend shows an increase of 4.4 percent compared to the same period in the fiscal year 2018.
The United Kingdom remained among Spain's major tourist-sending markets, followed by Germany, which showed a 6.5-percent rise, and France, with a year-on-year decrease of 2 percent.
Likewise, expenditures by foreign tourists in the said period increased 5.1 percent, to around 22.5 billion euros.
The Autonomous Communities that received most visitors until April were Catalonia, with 4.9 million and an increase of 4.8 percent, the Canary Islands (4.8 million) and Andalusia, with 3.2 million and an increase of 8.1 percent.
