Minimal Access Surgery in Cuba |

Havana.- Minimal access surgery is performed in several procedures carried out in Cuba's healthcare system, with satisfactory results for patients.
It should be mentioned that this type of surgery is used in 53 hospitals throughout Cuba.
Its use extends to specialties such as cardiology, general and pediatric surgery, aesthetic surgery and caumatology, gynecology and neurosurgery.
It is also used in oncology, orthopedics, otorhinolaryngology, proctology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology and urology.
More than 3,000 people have benefited from these advanced techniques in arthroscopic surgery or minimal access, especially in Ciego de Avila and several central territories.
In Ciego de Avila, the surgery service at the Provincial Teaching Hospital also improves the intervention in colon injuries, through minimally invasive techniques.
