Cuban Furniture for Domestic Market |

Havana.- The Cuban furniture industry prioritizes production for the domestic market, in an effort to meet the demand from sectors such as tourism.
In fiscal year 2018, 436,200 pieces of different types of furniture were delivered and that figure reached 122,900 in the first four months of 2019.
Cuban furniture production is based on 11 basic business units (UEB) throughout the country, with proposals that successfully reach tourism.
As an example, the furniture at the Kempinski Hotel was completed with a degree of satisfaction higher than 90 percent and in the Packard, it was nearly 100 percent.
In addition, the industry is working to make better use of national raw materials to prevent expensive imports of hardwood and semi-hardwood.
