Cultural Diversity on Debate in Cuban Institution
Monday, May 27, 2019

Havana.- The Havana-based Casa de Las Americas hosted the 7th International Colloquium on Cultural Diversity, with a large participation of foreign delegates.

Creators and researchers from some 15 countries participated in the event, which consisted of lectures on such issues as ideological influences on the Caribbean's independence.

Moreover, specialized panels on rebellious thought, transculturation, interculturality, management of cultural policies, and social revolutions and their regional impact were held.

In addition to this, books printed recently by the Casa de las Americas Publishing Fund, and the publishing houses of the University of Havana, the Fernando Ortiz Foundation and the Institute of Philosophy were presented.

The colloquium was organized by the Caribbean Studies Center in conjunction with the Regional Office for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean of the Rose Luxemburg Stiftung.
