Blue Diamond Expands Presence in Cuban Market |

Havana.- The Canadian hotel chain Blue Diamond will expand its presence in the Cuban market after signing a contract to incorporate two other hotels to its portfolio in the Caribbean island.
The company signed an agreement with the Gran Caribe group to administer a hotel on Cayo Coco and another establishment in Varadero, with a potential of 830 rooms.
Currently, Blue Diamond runs 19 hotels in Cuba, including the Royalton Hicacos and the Grand Memories, both in Varadero, as well as the Memories Holguin and the Tropical Starfish.
Canada was Cuba's major tourist-sending market with 624,530 travelers this year until early May, and 1.1 million holidaymakers in 2018.
The hotel on Cayo Coco will offer 380 rooms, while the one in Varadero will have 450 rooms.
