Work by Cuban Nurses Praised
Monday, May 20, 2019

Havana.- The Cuban healthcare system has some 6,000 nurses who provide healthcare services in some 55 countries.

The professionals of that medical specialty have joined the group of Cuban collaborators who are working in several countries of the world.

It is worth mentioning that 72 percent of Cuban nurses hold a university degree.

Specialists from the Pan-American Health Organization and the World Health Organization in Cuba (PAHO/WHO) pointed out that Cuba has 77.9 nurses per every 10,000 inhabitants.

Nurses have the fundamental mission of offering an essential service to people, taking care of their life and promoting the potential to improve health.
