Cuba Prioritizes Healthcare for the Elderly |

Havana.- Cuba, with a dynamic that shows a trend to population aging, stands out for the health care provided to senior citizens.
In that regard, Cuba has the Ibero-Latin American Center for the Elderly, a leading institution that provides specialized medical care in the diagnosis of elderly patients.
Founded 27 years ago, the institution currently operates under the name of Research Center on Longevity, Aging and Health, as a national reference for gerontology and geriatrics.
Through assistance programs applied to healthy people to define their health status, as well as to disabled patients or at-risk, everything related to the changes inherent in the aging of the human being is investigated.
Together with this, training programs are available for professionals and technicians who provide care to the elderly, both nationally and internationally.
