Polish Cinema in Cuba

Havana.- The Cuban capital hosted an exhibition of Polish motion pictures at the 23 y 12 Theater, with films like "Maximilian Kolbe, One Life for Another", by Krzysztof Zanussi.

The program also included "The Last Stage", which tells the story of Martha Weiss, a Jew sent to the Auschwitz concentration camp along with her family.

Other films were "Goodbye, Until Tomorrow", "The Manuscript Found in Zaragoza" and "Matthew's Life", as well as "Life Is a Sexually-Transmitted Disease" and "Palimpsest".

According to experts, Polish films are among the most important in the context of contemporary cinema due to their valuable contribution.

Polish cinema has major motion pictures that have won several awards in international festivals.
