Havana.- The Cuban women's team will participate in the Pre-Olympic Americas Softball Tournament, scheduled for the summer in Surrey, Canada.
Cuba will play in Group A, along with Canada (one of the favorite teams to win one of the two Olympic slots granted in the event), Puerto Rico (the champion at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla in 2018), the Bahamas, Guatemala and Argentina.
Meanwhile, Group B is made up of Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, Peru, the British Virgin Islands and the Dominican Republic.
The three best teams in each group will qualify for the Super Round and the first two places in the final phase will qualify for the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020.
