Modern Ophthalmological Procedure in Villa Clara |

Havana.- The ophthalmological center in the central Cuban province of Villa Clara will start treating patients with avastin, a medication for patients suffering from retina problems.
The Center's staff is already prepared and certified to start this procedure in this quarter of the year in order to prevent the transfer of patients to Havana.
According to experts, the treatment is minimally invasive, and it reduces the discomfort of distant transfer on several occasions, with lower expenses for patients and public health.
In addition, different surgical techniques are used in the center, such as cataract surgeries, refractory operations using the excimer laser equipment and corneal transplants.
Ophthalmology is one of the medical specialties opting for the Higher Education certification at the University of Medical Sciences of Villa Clara.
