Alternative Medicine Promoted in Las Tunas |

Havana.- The healthcare system of the eastern Cuban province Las Tunas promotes the use of natural and traditional medicine for the benefit of the population.
The territory guarantees the supply of vegetal mass, honey, apicultural byproducts, sugar and alcohol to five local production centers.
In the case of the vegetal mass, eight farms operate in the same number of municipalities, which have drying sheds, improvement areas and storage rooms.
The centers must meet the demand from pharmacies, as well as from polyclinics and hospitals.
In Las Tunas, the phyto-pharmaceuticals, obtained from medicinal plants, and medicines obtained from honey and beehives, are elaborated, in addition to receiving products from other provinces.
