New Grand Masters in Cuban Chess |

Havana.- Cuban chess added to its ranks two new Grand Masters, after the titles were officially awarded by the international federation.
Carlos Daniel Albornoz and Elier Miranda obtained the certification for the benefit of the so-called science game in Cuba.
Albornoz completed the third and final norm for the title after Carlos Torre Memorial, in Mexico, as part of a process that lasted less than 12 months.
Meanwhile, Miranda completed his first norm at the 2012 national championship, concluded the second one the next year at the Carlos Torre Memorial and the got the third one at the Guillermo Garcia in Memoriam Tournament in 2016.
Add to this the requirement to exceed 2,500 points in the Elo coefficient, to increase the number of Cuban Grand Masters, being the first of them Silvino Garcia in 1975.
