Emblematic Palace in Cienfuegos Restored |

Havana.- Palacio de Valle, a recognized cultural facility in the central Cuban province of Cienfuegos, benefited from an extensive restoration program.
The works focused on rooms and corridors on the second floor, precisely the most damaged area by the effects of the building's proximity to the sea.
The works involved graduates in restoration from Joseph Tantete Trade School, which is attached to the Office of the Curator of Cienfuegos, and from the Benny More Art School.
Restoration consisted of replacing smithy elements on the terrace and the façade, the improvement of the electrical system with new cables, as well as rainwater downpipes.
The construction of the Palace began in 1895 and was completed before 1919, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the former Colonia Fernandina de Jagua.
