Computer Sciences against Cancer in Holguin |

Havana.- The Territorial Cancer Center in the eastern Cuban province of Holguin, has a computerized registry of patients, the first of its kind in the country.
According to experts, through this tool, they have already some 30,000 patients who have been diagnosed with the disease.
Through this mechanism, specialists have information about their patients, from anywhere in the center, in addition to obtaining data on the evolution of the disease.
They can also specify the times they have been in surgery, emergencies and the treatments administered, among other parameters of interest for medical professionals.
Last year, cancer was the first cause of death in the province, and in 2018, more than 56,200 patients were treated in outpatient clinics.
