Cuba and Japan Promote Cooperation Mechanisms
Monday, January 21, 2019

Havana.- Authorities from Cuba and Japan are taking cooperation actions to improve the social environment in Havana.

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will finance a project to improve the equipment for solid waste collection in the Cuban capital.

This way, 24 collector trucks of the Hino Motors brand were shipped to Havana.

In total, there will be 100 similar vehicles, with specialized technology from Kyokuto. They will arrive in the port of Havana in three more shipments before November.

In addition, as part of the project, Cuba will receive during the course of this year dump trucks, lifting baskets, chainsaws and other pieces of equipment for the restoration and beautification of Havana.
