New Vehicles for Public Transportation in Cuba
Monday, January 21, 2019

Havana.- Cuba received new vehicles from China to improve the public transportation system.

The Yutong company supplied 106 buses, 39 of which are rigid and hybrid (they work with diesel fuel and electricity) and 60 are articulated buses, plus seven buses to transport workers.

The vehicles will go to the main bus lines in Havana and in the eastern province of Santiago de Cuba.

Each articulated bus makes 12 daily trips and, on average, each of them carries more than 200 passengers, while the rigid buses make 14 trips to move around 85 people each.

By the end of 2019, a new bus allocation should arrive as part of this year's investment plan to operate in the provinces of Havana and Santiago de Cuba.
