Monday, January 21, 2019

Havana.- The elite team of the Dutch hockey club Ring Pass Delf will hold several training sessions in Cuba and will play against the men's national team.

According to promoters, this meeting will highlight the 500th anniversary of the founding of Villa de San Cristobal de La Habana and the 50th anniversary of Cuban hockey.

The Ring Pass Delf was established in October 1940 and has thousands of members for hockey, tennis and swimming. It has three artificial courts and four natural courts.

Dutch hockey won the men's contest at the Olympic Games in Atlanta-1996 and Sydney-2000, as well as the World Cups in 1973, 1990 and 1998.

Meanwhile, the women's team won three Olympic gold medals in Los Angeles-1984, Beijing-2008 and London-2012, as well as eight world titles.
