Improved Food Processing in Cuba
Monday, January 14, 2019

Havana.- The agribusiness company Victoria de Giron, in western Cuba, is expanding its technological capabilities to improve fruit and vegetable processing.

In that regard, another line equipped with Italian technology was added to process mango, guava or tomato, thus optimizing the work in the industry during harvest peaks.

Likewise, work is being done on the production of concentrated orange juice, which is supplied to the tourism sector and is also exported to European countries at competitive prices.

In addition, there are crops of passion fruit, whose juices have safe markets, as well as essential oils of mango, guava and citrus.

This way, an important segment of the national market is covered, in addition to reducing expenditures in for imports.
