Cuban Cyclist Present in Australian Competition

Havana.- The Cuban cyclists Arlenis Sierra and Jeidy Pradera, members of the Astana Women's Team, will have their first competition in Australian venues this month.

The cyclists will participate in the Santos Women's Tour, at which the team leader will be Sierra, who will look for points to qualify for Cuba for the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, in 2020.

Her compatriot Jeidy Pradera, Italy's Elena Pirrone, Mexico's Carolina Rodriguez and the two debutants Marie-Soleil Blais and Yareli Salazar complete the team.

Guerra continues in 2019 as the captain of the club, for which she won the Guanwxi Tour, in China, last October.

The team, based in Kazakhstan, has the UCI Women's Team category (maximum female category of road cycling worldwide), will have in 2019 with 13 cyclists.
