Cuban Rowers Train for Lima-2019
Monday, January 14, 2019

Havana.- Cuba's best rowers, who will compete in the Pan-American Games in Lima, Peru, in 2019, began their training for the regional meeting.

The athletes moved to the training center located in the Hanabanilla reservoir, in Villa Clara, where they will fulfill a work plan for 45 days.

Cuban sports officials noted that the dam has very good conditions for paddling, due to its extension, and a positive result is expected.

Seventeen Cuban athletes qualified for the regional games in late 2018 at an event held Brazil.

In addition, high-altitude training is planned in Mexico, on the water course of the Federal District, and later the Cuban rowers will participate in the first World Cup in Bulgaria in May.
