Cuba Fosters Use of Eolian Energy
Monday, December 17, 2018

Havana.- The Cuban economy is encouraging the use of alternative sources of energy, with a view to reducing the use of fossil fuels.

In this direction, the installation of wind farms stands out, as they are designed to take advantage of the force of the winds and thus contribute to the National Electroenergetic System.

In eastern Cuba, work is being done on the structures of the wind farms La Herradura 1 (H1) and La Herradura 2 (H2), north of Las Tunas.

The actions focus on creating the conditions to start the construction of the bases for wind turbines in January, while the casting of 12 leveling seals was completed.

Together with this, the construction of the interior roads of the parks goes as planned with an approximate width of 17 meters, taking into account the machinery that moves through them.
