Havana.- The last sports events of the year for people with disabilities will take Cuban athletes to competitions in Costa Rica and Colombia.
In this regard, six table tennis players will participate in an event in Costa Rica, where they will seek to qualify for 6th Para-Pan-American Games in Lima, Peru, in 2019.
The Cuban delegation is made up of Yanelys Silva, Erick Manso, Yunier Fernandez, Daniel Ramirez, Carlos Gabriel Diaz and Victor Ochoa, who aspire to be among the 127 athletes to be confirmed for the regional games in the Peruvian capital.
In the case of weightlifting, the Toronto-2015 champions Leidys Rodriguez (41 kg) and Oniger Drake (88 kg), along with Yoander Arias (59 kg), will attend the Americas Cup and the World Open Tournament in Bogota, Colombia.
In Lima, five men and two women will qualify directly in each of the 10 divisions in each sex, to which 15 will be chosen by the Bipartite Commission of the International Paralympic Committee.
