Foreign Investment in Cuban Recycling Industry

Havana.- The presence of foreign investments in Cuba's industry is part of the development strategy by local economic authorities.

In that regard, urban solid waste in Havana will be recycled by a joined venture, which will manage this activity as an integrated system.

Likewise, similar projects are under study with a view to implementing them the provinces of Matanzas, Villa Clara, Camagüey, Holguin and Santiago de Cuba.

In addition, 100 garbage trucks to collection of solid waste are being made in Japan, in order to materialize a donation of 10 million dollars.

A first phase will be take place in March 2019 to supply specific tools and spare parts to repair of the equipment.
