Cuba Hosts Jazz Artists' Contest |

Havana.- The 21st edition of the International Young Jazz Players Competition (JoJazz-2018) will bring together some 100 artists who cultivate that musical genre in Havana.
According to organizers, as a new element, the maximum age of the oldest soloists has been extended from 22 to 35 years, and the composition and interpretation sections will be maintained.
In addition, these two sections include subcategories for younger soloists (aged 16 to 21 years), together with small and large format groups.
According to experts, the event will offer the possibility of enjoying performances by the best students from Cuban music schools.
Other participants are the members of the project La Banda Gigante (The Big Band), who will stop recordings temporarily to compete in this edition of JoJazz.
