Cuban Cinema Bets on New Technologies
Monday, November 12, 2018

Havana.- The Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC) is focusing its efforts on high-level cinema supported by the use of new technologies.

ICAIC executives pointed out that the strategy in that regard points to the creation and production of audiovisuals in the country.

In this direction, the creation of the committee of documentary makers is envisaged, in addition to assigning, permanently, one of the halls of the Infanta Multicine to screen that kind of material.

Together with this, an Artistic Advisory Committee will be set up to promote debate and reflection with a view to promoting Cuban cinema and to strengthening relations with all creators.

Special attention will be paid on the movement of young Cuban moviemakers, with the inclusion of their work in periodic sessions at the country's movie theaters.
