Casa de las Americas Convenes Literary Award |

Havana.- The Havana-based cultural institution Casa de las Americas convened the 60th edition of its annual literary award.
On this occasion, the center highlighted that unpublished works in the genres of novels, poetry, historical-social essay and literature for children and young people will compete, in addition to Brazilian fiction literature in Portuguese and published in that language during the 2017-2018 biennium.
Together with this, a prize for studies on Latinos in the United States was also announced, to which books written in Spanish, in English or both languages, published for the first time between 2016 and 2018, can be submitted.
In addition to the official award, the Jose Lezama Lima honorary prize for poetry; the Jose Maria Arguedas prize for narrative, and the Ezequiel Martinez Estrada prize for essay, will be granted.
