Spanish Destinations Expect More Than 80 Million Tourists |

Madrid.- Tourist destinations in Spain are expected to close operations in 2018 with a combined total of 81.2 million international visitors.
That number accounts for a decrease of 0.8 percent compared to the record level reported in the 2017 fiscal year.
In contrast, holidaymakers are expected to spend an estimated at 89.44 billion euros, which represent an increase of 2.8 percent over the previous year.
In the first eight months of 2018, Spain was visited by 57.3 million foreign travelers, a decrease of 0.1 percent compared to the same period in 2017.
It is worth mentioning that Spain was visited by 81.9 million vacationers last year, when it ranked second in the world as a tourist destination, preceded by France and followed by the United States.
