Tourism in the Westernmost Territory of Cuba

Havana.- The province of Pinar del Rio, the westernmost province of the Cuban geography, prepares its structures to face the high season of tourism.

Executives of the sector in the territory highlighted the accomplishment of work goals, such as the repair of 20 huts in Cayo Levisa and 14 in the La Hermita hotel, in Viñales.

Repairs are also carried out in the access road to Cayo Jutías, with their deadline set for December.

The province has unique attractions such as the Great Cavern of Santo Tomás, the canopy as adventure tourism and the Viñales Valley.

In 2017 Pinar del Río welcomed 796,090 visitors, a 9.6 percent higher than the previous year, of them, 522,396 arrived during the high season.
