Restoration of National Museum of Music Goes as Planned
Monday, September 24, 2018

Havana.- The National Museum of Music, in the Cuban capital, benefits from an extensive restoration program that is scheduled for completion in 2019.

According to specialists, an integral conception of protection of the heritage was considered in the renovation, including the high value of the building and the contents of its collections, which are restored by experts from the institution, while artisans from the Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets (FCBC) are working on the building.

There is a room dedicated to folklore, which will treasure the collection of Fernando Ortiz's drums, as well as peasant music and aboriginal cultures of Cuba.

In addition, a concert hall equipped with sound solutions demanded and portable furniture to adapt the premises to different types of events, will be constructed.
