Cuba Hosts Forum on Antimicrobial Resistance |

Havana.- Cuba will host the specialized forum on antimicrobial resistance, which will gather some 300 experts from 15 countries.
According to organizers, the Melia Habana Hotel will host the debates of the International Antimicrobial Resistance Conference: from the Laboratory to the Clinic.
The meeting aims to search for alternatives with the purpose of combating infections and the indiscriminate use of antibiotics in the world.
In this regard, experts recalled that due to this problem, some eight million people die in the world every year and it is estimated that by 2050 that figure will increase to more than 10 million deaths.
The meeting is targeted at professionals who work in the fields of microbiology, infectious diseases, other medical specialties, hospital epidemiology and public health.
