Cuba and Venezuela Promote Exchange in Tourism
Monday, September 10, 2018

Havana.- Tourism authorities from Cuba and Venezuela met in Havana with a view to evaluating the cooperation mechanisms between the two countries.

Venezuelan Minister of Tourism Stella Lugo and her Cuban counterpart, Manuel Marrero, analyzed the sector's prospects in the Caribbean island.

During his visit, Lugo thanked Cuba for its support for years for the development of the leisure industry in Venezuela.

In addition, he received first-hand information about the business strategy in Cuban tourism, with emphasis on programs related to foreign investment.

The Venezuelan minister also recognized Cuba's progress in that regard, with figures that show more than four million international visitors a year.
