Academic Course Starts in Medical Sciences in Cuba

Havana.- The 2018-2019 academic year in Medical Sciences began in Cuban institutions, with a total enrollment of 111,239 students.

Officials from the Public Health Ministry pointed out that this enrollment represents an increase of 9,690 students compared to the previous school year.

Out of the total number of students, 90,763 will attend university courses, 18,743 will receive technical training and 1,733 will be trained as qualified workers.

In addition, there will be 15 short-cycle profiles of senior technical training, and two new medium-level technical specialties, while the postgraduate enrollment totals more than 27,000 freshman students.

This teaching scheme also includes students from several countries, who access the benefits of Cuba's educational system in this field.
