Cuba Reactivates Furniture Industry
Monday, August 20, 2018

Havana.- Cuba has reactivated the manufacture of furniture of several types, with a view to meeting the growing demand from sectors such as tourism.

In that regard, the company Muebles Imperio, based in the eastern province of Guantanamo, acquired modern equipment of Chinese origin after an investment of nearly one million dollars.

It is worth mentioning that this company is the only one of its kind in the country and its production is totally used to meet the demands from the Cuban tourist industry.

In order to improve the quality of products, a sectioning machine, an edger that fixes the edges of the boards and a multiple drill, as well as a pressurized paint booth and a waste extractor system, were imported.

Muebles Imperio guarantees more than 11,000 pieces of furniture for rooms, restaurants, bars, lounges and other areas at hotels, a production that is supported by advanced Chinese technology.
