Cuban Players Compete in Canadian Baseball Series

Havana.- Several Cuban players who play baseball in Canada will compete in the semifinal phase of the Intercounty Baseball League in that nation.

The Kitchener Panthers, which has the Cuban players Yorbis Borroto, Noelvis Entenza, Jonder Martínez and Miguel Lahera in its rooster, has qualified for that stage of the contest.

Entenza has won five games and lost one. He has stricken out 57 batters, while Lahera has won four games and lost two.

Meanwhile, in the Can-Am League, the Québec Capitals are in the second place with 47 wins and 37 losses, seven games away from the first place.

The Cuban player Yordan Manduley has an average at bat of 309 with 73 hits, including 10 two-base hits and four homeruns.
