Sanitary Control Strengthened in Eastern Cuba
Monday, July 23, 2018

Havana.- The eastern Cuban province of Holguin has strengthened international health control mechanisms to prevent the entry of diseases into the country.

Due to the increasing number of foreign visitors, control measures have been stepped up due to outbreaks of yellow fever and malaria in nearby countries.

This way, travelers from those nations are asked to provide evidence of vaccination, together with the possibility of carrying out complementary tests.

The province has the Frank País International Airport, through which collaborators often arrive, a commercial airline from Venezuela operates as well as a Copa Airlines flight.

Hence the importance of strengthening sanitary controls in several facilities, including international marinas, ports and commercial airports.
