Cuban Athletics Stands Out at World Youth Championship |

Havana.- Cuba finished in the 11th place of the table of medals at the World Youth Athletics Championship in Finland.
The Cuban delegation won one title, one silver and three bronze medals, in a contest dominated by Kenya, which won 11 medals (6-4-1).
For the Cubans, the title went to Jordan Diaz in the triple jump contest, while Maikel Vidal was second in the long jump competition.
Meanwhile, the bronze medals went to the triple jumper Davisleidys Velazco with 13.78 meters, Silinda Morales in the discus and Yaritza Martínez in the hammer.
In the qualification by points, in which the first eight places added points to their rankings, the US athletes scored 155 points and finished first, followed by Kenyan (112) and Jamaica (101).
