Famous Theater in Central Cuba Remodeled |

Havana.- The Tomas Terry Theater, located in the central province of Cienfuegos, benefits from a remodeling program to guarantee the preservation of its cultural and historic values.
According to experts, the Venetian mosaics in the front and upper part of the façade, are already in the second stage of renovation, as part of a process led by the Italian master Hugo Marzzi.
The project also includes the rehabilitation of the stalls, ceiling or central ceiling and other spaces inside the building, such as the marbles at the entrance, the ceilings and the plank.
According to the work schedule, the first phase of the reconstruction is expected to conclude in early 2019, and will also include a new hydraulic network and air conditioning system.
The cultural institution is considered an architectural jewel and a cultural symbol of the city of Cienfuegos, also known as the Pearl of the South, and plays a leading role in the most relevant artistic events in the territory.
