Heritage Attraction in Camagüey

Havana.- The city of Camagüey, in the Cuban province of the same name, holds heritage attractions that include emblematic sites such as the Agramonte Park.

According to experts, the place hosts actions aimed at promoting citizens' education.

The former village of Santa María del Puerto del Principe, founded by the Spaniards in 1514, has in the Agramonte Park, named after the main independence leader of the region, one of the urban crown jewels of the city.

In general, the park hosts several activities during the current summer season, as part of the campaign "The city that I am, the City I live in."

Outstanding facilities are located in its surroundings, such as the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Municipal Government, Casa de la Trova Patricio Ballagas and the Bar "El Cambio", the House of Cuban Rum.
