Increase in Tourist Arrivals in Morocco in 2017 |

Rabat.- Tourist destinations in Morocco received 11.35 million international travelers last year, accounting for a growth of 9 percent with respect to 2016.
Sources from the sector pointed out that in the first five months of 2018, 4.1 million tourists visited the country, representing an interannual increase of 9 percent.
In addition, overnight stays in registered establishments grew 7 percent from January to May and 60 percent of them were concentrated in Marrakech and the coastal city of Agadir.
The income generated by the tourism industry in the first five months of 2018 totaled 2.45 billion euros, 14.8 percent more than last year.
The tourism sector is the second largest contributor to the national economy with about 11 percent, in addition to providing 515,000 jobs.
