Increase Income from Tourism in Ecuador |

Quito.- The Ecuadorian economy reported revenues of 584 million dollars in the first quarter of 2018, thanks to an increased in the arrival of international tourists.
According to sources from the industry, this result represents a solid increase of 46.3 percent compared to the January-March 2017 period.
Likewise, in the first semester of this year, Ecuador received 1,170,958 foreign holidaymakers and in June alone, the increase was 60.5 percent, with 218,470 foreign tourists.
In the sixth month of the year, tourist-sending markets like the United States, Germany, Canada and the United Kingdom reported a 39-percent growth in tourists.
In late March, the tourist industry had 491,698 employees, which were equivalent to 6.3 percent of the total number of workers in the national economy.
