Cuba to Compete with 538 Athletes at Regional Sports Event

Havana.- Cuba will participate in the Central American and Caribbean Games with a delegation of 538 competitors.

In Barranquilla (Colombia), the Cuban delegation will defend the leadership by countries that it has held since 1970, this time with its presence in 359 of 450 competitions.

That way, Cubans will compete in open water, athletics, badminton, basketball, 3x3 basketball, handball, baseball and boxing.

They will also take part in canoeing, cycling, diving, equestrian, fencing, artistic and rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline gymnastics, hockey, judo, karate, weightlifting, and Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling.

The Cuban athletes will also compete in figure and speed skating, modern pentathlon, water polo, racquetball, rowing, softball, taekwondo, tennis, table tennis, shooting, archery and triathlon.
